Welcome to our sunny and vibrant urban retreat in Milwaukee! We are thrilled to have you as our guest in this spacious upper unit of our Duplex. As you settle in, we hope you feel right at home and enjoy all the comforts and conveniences we have prepared for you.

 

Our goal is to ensure that your stay is nothing short of extraordinary. From the sunlit living room to the cozy bedrooms, we have designed this space to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing experience. Take a moment to unwind on the balcony and soak up the lively atmosphere of North Ave.

 

We’ve provided all the kitchen essentials to make your stay effortless, including a working oven, microwave, coffee maker, and a full-size fridge with a freezer. If there is anything you think we should get let us know! We are always adding to the unit to improve. 

 

Our aim is to provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and your input can help us improve and refine our offerings. Please feel free to share your thoughts on how we can enhance your experience, whether it’s through amenities, communication, or any other aspect.

BASICS

PARKING

 

Please do not park in the driveway.  The lower level needs access to the garage. 

 

Street parking on the west side is only permitted during the day.

 

Overnight parking is available on the east side of the street. You must call your car in to avoid parking tickets. You can request parking for up to 3 nights in a 30-day time period. Beyond three nights you will need to obtain a parking permit.

 ENTRYWAY & ELECTRONIC DEADBOT

The front door is deadbolted with a number pad. Your 4-digit pin will be provided no later than 4 hours before your check-in time. Pull the door slightly towards you and enter your pin followed by the unlock key. This will cause the deadbolt to open and you will be able to enter the unit.

 

A second key can be found for the door at the top of the stairs. Please ensure both the front door and the door to your unit are locked at all times. This is for your safety and the residents living in the lower level. 

 

To lock the front door when exiting, again enter your pin but this time followed by the lock key. This will deadbolt the door. Please ensure you lock this door anytime you leave the unit.

Please only use the front door for entering and exiting the property. In case of emergency, you may exit using the side door, but that is off-limits in all other situations.

 

Please do not open or disturb the closet at the bottom of the stairs. That is the lower unit's closet. 

 

Small packages maybe be at the door front from time to time. 

HOUSE RULES

LOWER UNIT 

There is a family living in the lower unit. The building is older so it's not soundproof. You will probably hear some things as they will hear you. They also have two cats - sometimes one talks loudly - he's old. 

 

AIR CONDITIONING 

Please ensure all windows are closed while the AC is running. When not in the unit please turn off and try not to run non-stop. Since it is one window unit it won’t be able to cool the entire unit. 

 

KITCHEN

Stocked with dishes, essential pots, cooking and eating utensils, as well as other supplies. Please note there is no garbage disposal. Food waste should be put in the waste basket. 

 

GARBAGE

If you have to take the garbage out of the house there are garbage bins by the garage. Please use the blue bins for recyclables and the gray with green lid bins for garbage. Do not place anything in a bin labeled compost. 

 

DECK

Please enjoy the balcony with a very city view. We ask that you do not grill on the deck, Please do not sit, stand, or lean on the balcony walls for your own safety. 

 

SIDE DOOR IN HALLWAY

Please only use this door in the event of an emergency. That area is the main entrance for the lower unit and is their personal space.

NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS & NO PARTIES

Only guests listed on the confirmed booking are allowed on the premises at any given time, per Airbnb policy. Violating this policy will void your Airbnb insurance coverage. 

 

NO SMOKING OR DRUGS

Please do not smoke cigarettes or cigars. Please do not use any drugs on the property.

 

DAMAGES

Please report any damages right away. 

 

WASTEWATER

DO NOT put anything other than toilet tissue in the toilet. The house is old and not meant for anything more than that. 

FIREPLACE

Please do not use the fireplace. It is broken and smoke will come back into the house. 

 

QUIET HOURS

Please observe quiet hours of 

7 AM - 11 PM

CHECKING OUT

Please clean the dishes and utensils that were used. 

 

Turn off all lights, fans, and air conditioning before you leave. 

 

Drop used linens and towels down the laundry shoot found in the bathroom. 

 

Make sure to lock the door behind you as you leave. 

 

If anything is forgotten during your stay please reach out and let us know.
